Viewing Citation Updates
Our Research team is continually updating our citation database as laws are added or changed.
Virgo’s Citation Change History lets you zero in on important changes in your regulatory environment.
Select a period (Last 90 Days, Last 6 Months, Last Year, etc.) and see all regulatory changes for that period. Or filter for changes most likely to impact your retention schedule. For example, you can filter the Change History field to only display citations that have been repealed in the last 90 days.
This Help topic includes the following sections:

- To view any changes within a citation, you must first click on the Citations tab, and select Edit Columns.
- Select Change History and then click Apply.
- Based on your preference, you can filter on the types of changes you would like to review such as Important Change, New, and Repealed, and click on the arrow button.
To view the filters for citations changes, hover your mouse over the image.
A gold flag indicates the citation has not been reviewed. See the detailed view for list of affected record series. The yield icon indicates a repealed citation. See detail view for repeal date.
As the Virgo research team updates the citation database, updates are categorized as Important, Minor, New, No Change, and Repealed. Citations that are New or Important will be flagged automatically. Citations that are Repealed and are mapped to a record series will be flagged automatically too. Minor changes are clerical in nature and are not flagged by the system.
The citation updates can be reviewed in the audit trail within the citation detail view.
